After touring internationally for over twelve years, the choreographer Gisèle Vienne finally decided to film her cult piece Jerk as a work in its own right. Jerk is based on the story of the American serial killer Dean Corll, who, aided by two teenagers, killed more than 20 young boys in Texas in the mid-1970s. Vienne uses the tradition of genre and horror films to analyse the mechanisms of violence.
