The film collective loekenfranke has generated the visual world for this year’s Ruhrtriennale – one of many reasons for a retrospective as part of the festival.

About the movie series

Their award-winning documentaries, filmed over long periods, narrate processes of great social upheaval, of consolation and endurance, of disappearance and persistence, of work and home, of a city reinventing itself and fighting to maintain a great love. The film collective loekenfranke has generated the visual world for this year’s Ruhrtriennale – one of many reasons for a retrospective as part of the festival.

Every Saturday from 12 August 2023 to 24 September 2023 (except 09.09.2023) – with introductions and post-film discussions.
