Online
The fastest way to get your ticket: Simply select your desired performance in the playbill and book your tickets in the webshop (payment by credit card, PayPal or direct debit. When buying tickets online, you can choose between three options:

print@home: Print your tickets in the comfort of your own home. Booking is possible up to three hours before the start of the event.

Tickets by post: Receive tickets by post to your preferred address. Bookings can be made up to four days before the event. A fee of €4.50 per order will be charged for postage.

Mobile ticket: Show your ticket digitally on your mobile device at the entrance.

Children, school pupils and students, federal volunteers and unemployed
For all performances of the Ruhrtriennale, reduced tickets of €12 are available for schoolchildren, trainees, students, people doing federal voluntary service (up to 30 years of age) and the unemployed. There may be different reductions for standard prices. Please have your proof of discount ready at the entrance.

KulturPass
Experience your favorite artists at the Ruhrtriennale completely free of charge! Simply register for the KulturPass! Young people who celebrate or have already celebrated their 18th birthday in 2023 will receive a budget of €200 with the KulturPass from the German government, which can be redeemed for cultural offers. This includes tickets for concerts, theaters, museums or cinemas and much more. Since June 14, 2023, the KulturPass app can be downloaded and registration can be made. Information on the KulturPass and registration can be found online at www.kulturpass.de.

Family Ticket
Families receive discounted admission to productions for young audiences. A family consists of two to five members and at least one child in education and one adult. The family ticket can be selected directly in the webshop.

School Classes
Classes and school courses of 10 or more receive tickets for €5 per pupil and per accompanying person (max. two per class/course) for all performances. Subject to availability, tickets for school classes and courses can be reserved until after the summer holidays (14 days before the performance at the latest). For direct booking without prior reservation, tickets must be booked at least seven working days before the performance. Schools reserve and order tickets at jungetriennale@ruhrtriennale.de.

KulturPott.Ruhr
In cooperation with KulturPott.Ruhr e. V., the Ruhrtriennale offers people who are excluded from cultural participation for various reasons the opportunity to attend selected events with free admission. Registration and information: www.kulturpott.ruhr or email info@kulturpott.ruhr.de.

Ticket sponsorships for refugees
The Ruhrtriennale would like to help people who have been affected by war and have had to flee. The Association of Friends and Supporters of the Ruhrtriennale offers support for this. Refugees are thus given the opportunity to attend Ruhrtriennale events with free admission. For ticket requests, please contact service@ruhrtriennale.de

Ehrenamtskarte NRW (Volunteer Card)
Civic engagement deserves recognition. That is why the North Rhine-Westphalian state government, together with the state's cities, districts and municipalities, has introduced a state-wide Ehrenamtskarte (Volunteer Card). The Ruhrtriennale offers card holders a 30% discount. Tickets can be purchased at advance booking offices or on site at the box office. Professional Tickets
Professionals receive a 50% discount on two tickets per production, subject to availability. Professional tickets can be booked from 5 June 2023. For further information and accreditation, please visit ruhr3.com/professionals

RuhrKultur.Card
With the RuhrKultur.Card you receive a 50% discount on a performance ticket of your choice and availability from the 2nd seat category onwards (excluding premieres and designated special events). Book your discounted ticket with the RuhrKultur.Card via the ticket hotline, at the advance booking offices or at the box office.

With a prize draw of 50 festival passes, the Ruhrtriennale invites people between the ages of 18 and 30 to experience art and culture up close. The coveted festival passes include free admission to nine selected events in the categories of music theatre, drama, dance and concert as well as the possibility of a companion ticket for little money. The offer, which is aimed at students, schoolchildren, trainees and people doing federal voluntary service, is supplemented by rehearsal and backstage visits, discussions with artists and other joint cultural undertakings in the Metropole Ruhr, even beyond the festival.

Travel to the Ruhrtriennale venues by bus and train - at no extra cost! Your purchased ticket entitles you to free use of all buses and local trains (2nd class) in the VRR for the outward and return journey to and from the venue.

If you have a Print@Home ticket, please print it out for use on public transport. Tickets can be used on the day of the event until 3 a.m. the following day and are not transferable.

The Ruhrtriennale is a decentralised festival and will take place in the cities of Bochum, Dortmund, Duisburg and Essen in 2023. The venues are former sites of the region's heavy industry: collieries, coking plants, steelworks and slagheaps become distinctive protagonists for the festival. Information on accessibility can be found on the respective programme pages and in the information on the venues.

Wheelchair spaces are available in almost all venues and events. Persons with severe disabilities with a B ID card and their accompanying person receive two tickets at the full price of one ticket. Tickets can be booked via the ticket hotline at +49 (0) 221 280-210, or at the box office.

Unfortunately, I am prevented from attending on the day of the event. Can I exchange my ticket?
Tickets for Ruhrtriennale events cannot be exchanged. If you would like to resell your ticket, please use the Eventim Fan Sale: fansale.de

Are tickets for the Ruhrtriennale transferable?
Yes, tickets for Ruhrtriennale events are not personalised and can be passed on.

Which price categories can I book?
When booking tickets in the webshop, you will find the auditorium plans and the applicable price categories. In addition, the ticket hotline will advise you on the right category for you.

Can I buy vouchers for the Ruhrtriennale?
You can purchase an Eventim voucher and redeem it for Ruhrtriennale events. You can get all the information at eventim.de/gutschein

Do I have to print out my ticket?
No, simply show your ticket digitally on a mobile device at the event. However, if you use your event ticket as a public transport ticket, please print out your ticket.
