Between Duisburg, Bochum and Dortmund
Fri, 18 – Sat, 19 August 2023
This weekend you have the choice: experience a unique programme in the former industrial halls of Duisburg, Bochum or Dortmund, combined with a trip to the Pappelwaldkantine right next to the Jahrhunderthalle Bochum.
At the beginning of the weekend, the eagerly awaited world premiere of Georges Aperghis is on the programme: In the Gebläsehalle of the Landschaftspark Duisburg-Nord you will experience the world premiere of »Die Erdfabrik« – a universal-intimate chamber music theatre of the senses, primal feelings and thoughts.
On Saturday you can take a little time out in the atmospheric Pappelwaldkantine in front of the Jahrhunderthalle Bochum before choosing: Either attend the German premiere of »Skatepark« by Danish choreographer Mette Ingvartsen at the Jahrhunderthalle or take the shuttle bus from Bochum's main station to Dortmund. There, the Chorwerk Ruhr will make the sacred-looking Art Nouveau machine hall of the Zeche Zollern resound with Sergei Rachmaninoff's »All-Night Vigil«.
