Congratulations to all 40 nominees of the German Theatre Award DER FAUST 2023, including two projects of the Ruhrtriennale 2022: Congratulations to all involved in »TEENS IN THE HOUSE II«, a project of the Junge Triennale, for the nomination in the category »Genrespringer« as well as to choreographer and dancer Ligia Lewis for the nomination in the category »Darsteller:in Tanz« in the work »A Plot / A Scandal«, co-produced by the Ruhrtriennale.
TEENS IN THE HOUSE is a youth project of the Ruhrtriennale that sees itself as queer, inclusive and solidarity-based, and has invited young people with diverse family histories to develop their own art projects by addressing social issues. The conception of this »Young Residency«, launched in 2021, lay with Anne Britting, director of the Junge Triennale, who worked with a dedicated team on an annual expansion of TEENS IN THE HOUSE and an intensive coming together during the Ruhrtriennale in late summer.
A total of more than 40 artists and collectives in twelve categories have been nominated for the German Theater Prize DER FAUST this year. The winners will be honored at the award ceremony on 25 November 2023 at the Thalia Theater Hamburg.
