Awaited with great curiosity: Dostoevsky's Notes from the House of the Dead served Leoš Janáček as a model for his last opera Aus einem Totenhaus (From the House of the Dead). Star director and stage designer Dmitri Tcherniakov is staging Janáček's opera as a walk-in stage installation in the Jahrhunderthalle in Bochum. With the dissolution of the separation between artist and audience, the audience becomes part of the merciless prison world.

The Ruhrtriennale is looking for male-read participants aged 18 and older for this musical theater production. Interested individuals should have prior experience in audience management, as they will assume a central function in the scenic management of the audience (750 people) within the walk-through stage installation. You will have the chance to accompany the work of the artists:inside very closely and become part of this special production of the Ruhrtriennale.

You should be available from 21 August 2023 and on all performance dates.

Premiere is on 31 August 31 2023.
Additional performances on September 2/3/6/8/9 September 2023, at 9pm each night. The rehearsal and performance venue is the Jahrhunderthalle in Bochum.

The participation will be remunerated.
