With the Ruhrtriennale's dialogue and literature series at the Maschinenhaus Essen, the renowned Swiss author Lukas Bärfuss, together with prominent guests, delves into questions about the nature of man. Under the title "The Nature of Man - Literature, Music, Conversation", the successful series of events next Sunday, 4 September, will focus on the conceptual pairing of "nature and democracy": at 5 p.m., the head of the marine programme of WWF Germany, Heike Vesper, will join Lukas Bärfuss in a one-hour dialogue. The guest Klaus Staeck originally announced for this date unfortunately had to cancel. On the same day at 7.30 p.m. there will be a reading with the actress Angela Winkler, accompanied by the musicians Valentin Butt and Roland Satterwhite.
On Sunday, 11 September, under the motto "Nature and Consciousness", the writer Ulrike Draesner and the actress Sarah Sandeh, accompanied by the "jack-of-all-trades on the piano" Malakoff Kowalski, will meet Lukas Bärfuss at 5 pm and 7.30 pm respectively.
The first edition of the three-part dialogue and literature series took place on 21 August with philosopher Alexander Klose and actress Sandra Hüller.

The cultural radio station WDR 3 plans to broadcast the recordings of the three-part dialogue series on "WDR 3 Forum" as part of the "WDR 3 Cultural Partnerships" on 11 September, 25 September and 2 October, each at 6.04 p.m. www.wdr3.de
