I read the selected works of Ukrainian futurist Geo Shkurupii. He belongs to the generation of intellectuals destroyed by the Soviet authorities, whose literary representatives joined the cohort called the ›The Executed Renaissance‹. Shkurupii was executed in 1937 in the age of 34. You can read more about him here.

You can see how visual he is, how geometrical he is, how does he play with phonetics – this is amazing for that time and amazing for me imagining the beginning of the century.

One of my favorite poem is called
GEOMETRY

а line a compass
a circle
         a triangle into a square
look
here on the bare space
the city’s appeared
breaking corners to the sky
arrays of squares go into the ground
a triangle on a cube
                     a rhomb
a tower
with it’s cone will crash the eye
tumb damb tumb domb
