I don’t read a lot with the exception of emails, portfolios and humans. I primarily read people or listen to them.

However, I absolutely understand your concerns. I love books although I don’t read them. They are promises and demand time, dedication and confrontation and, in the best of all worlds, reflect the medium by expressing themselves.

To date, in 2021/2022, I have published three readers Was liest…? (What to read…). One is about the village of Niederbipp on the banks of the southern Jura River, one to the municipal settlement Lochergut in Zürich and one about the Urseren Valley. In other words, these are books about the different typologies of community or spatial frameworks for communities. In some cases, I walked door to door and asked the residents what they were reading at the time, in what position the bookmark is and I photographed this double page. Now they can be found in numerical sequence in the respective reader.

I would like to gift you these three readers, even though they are actually only available on location. At a bakery, a furniture store and an Internet café. Those who are interested in what people are reading, should visit the »locations« and use the readers as quasi guides.
