Let Them Eat Chaos was a gift I received one day in the midst of the corona crises. The same evening as I got it, I opened it and did not put it down until I was done. It was not yet 4:18 - a time signature that continuously came back throughout the book while also being a biblical verse about love and fear. 4:18 or not, I had the feeling that Tempest's amazing use of words, rhythms and interruptions were exactly what I needed to escape, at least for a little while.
