I discovered Pessoa at a bookstore and read through some of the pages.
I did not want to own it. That’s why I returned to the bookstore every now and then and read some more of it. The breakdown of emptiness in a perfect, poetic and merciless manner is highly impressive. After some time I decided to purchase the book anyway. Now I own seven books but do not have a shelf. That is a soothing thought.
