Fire from the sun is a series of paintings where you see young children, babies almost, in a theatrical setting, tasting and smelling and wrapping themselves with blood and (the suggestion of) poop , surrounded by body parts and in some paintings they are observing their own sex.
It sounds cruel when i write these words so naked, but for me these paintings express a huge freedom and curiosity - something fundamental human, at the same time cruel and peaceful, which is the basic attitude we strived for during the creation of promise me I never shared these images with our cast, as it was afraid to push them in any direction, but somehow i know that these images are reflected in the work, in their own translation and with their own secrets.

With our own hands is actually a cookbook, but it is mainly a celebration of life in the pamir mountains of afghanistan and it is a book that reminds us of fundamental and universal necessities such as the simple act of making bread.
It is a sensible a tactile book, it triggers my senses the same way a dance piece can do.
