In my research for a number of my projects, Paul B. Preciado's collection of texts An Apartment on Uranus plays a major role over and over again. It serves as an inspiration, a call and as an escape. The text Mein Transkörper ist ein leeres Haus (My Transbody is an Empty House) has become part of the research for Haus. In this piece of work, the defurnishing, the realignment, the deconstruction and the reinvention in the empty space are healing utopian paths, the queer correspondence between a body and the house. The Turbinenhalle is becoming Uranus, the place where a life for all starts being conceivable.
