I constantly refer to the texts in Samuel Beckett’s Collected Poems, and the book has traveled with me often for many years.

Beckett’s last poem what is the word has been a great inspiration for a string quartet commissioned by Kronos, and has also formed the basis of my latest big band composition all this this here.

My lastest setting of  S.B.’s writing is brief dream used also in all this this here.

From this collection I have also set 10 of Beckett’s  English Mirlitonades in my composition Quindecim written for the Homburger / Guy Duo.

I find Beckett’s writing endlessly inspirational. Having this book with me on my travels gives me new creative energy on a daily basis.
