The festival period of the Ruhrtriennale 2022 is fixed: From Thursday, 11 August to Sunday, 18 September, the Festival of the Arts invites national and international artists to perform in the former industrial halls, machine houses, coking plants and slagheaps of the Metropole Ruhr in the cities of Bochum, Duisburg, Essen and Gladbeck. This year's Ruhrtriennale is the second edition under the Artistic Directorship of theatre director Barbara Frey.

The programme of the Ruhrtriennale 2022 will be published on Thursday, 28 April. Early booking will start on the same day.
