The programme of the Ruhrtriennale 2022 is online! In the former industrial halls in the cities of Bochum, Duisburg, Essen and Gladbeck, the Festival of the Arts invites you to artistic discoveries from 11 August – 18 September. Polyphonic international positions in music theatre, drama, dance, performance, concert, installation, literature and dialogue negotiate contemporary issues, search for the power of changing perspectives, of change, transition, transcendence and dissolution of boundaries. The annual festival of the Metropole Ruhr is the second edition under the three-year directorship of Swiss theatre director Barbara Frey.

Thirty-six productions and projects are planned, including seven in-house and co-productions, five world premieres, one European and five German premieres.

Ticket sales start today. Up to and including 29 May, an early bird discount offers a 15% reduction on ticket purchases.
